The Mebane Planning Board, which serves as an advisory board to the Mebane City Council, advises the council to approve a request from Gaylon Beights Properties II for a Special Use Permit to allow a subdivision at 4677 Mrs. White Lane, and a request from The Constructive Solutions Group to rezone property on North NC Hwy 119 near Mill Creek.

The Redfields Homeowners Association is in negotiations with developer Gaylon Beights to buy 58 acres of open space in the neighborhood. If the land purchase is finalized, a legal battle between Beights and the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors will be averted.
